Every stone that I cut has a history: where I found it, who I got it from, where they got it, what it looked like before cutting and after, etc. found some very reasonably priced aquamarine from a man in Tucson. Had to pick through several kilos with a loop and a pen light to find a few clean stones.
Here are some starting stats on a sweet little stone. This Nigerian Aqua is primed to be a nice little cushion cut.
Didn’t even think about Aquamarine being a March birthstone when I wanted to cut it. Good timing. Maybe there is some magic to this birthstone thing.
